In the heart of Alexandria, where the echoes of ancient wisdom resonate with the vibrancy of modern innovation, we gather to unravel the complexities of stroke and neurointervention. This congress serves as a beacon for interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together the brightest minds, practitioners, and researchers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region
Session Formats
MENA-SINO conferences are notable for the excellent scientific program that includes presentations of major clinical trials, state-of-the-art presentations by renowned clinicians and researchers, and updates on the latest guidelines. The upcoming MENA-SINO 2023 will continue that tradition with a range of different educational and scientific sessions which will address all your learning needs as a professional in the stroke and Neurointervention field.
CME / Accreditation
MENA-SINO 2023 has been accredited by the American association of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) for a maximum of 25 CME credits (ACMEC®s).
Industry Symposia
Industry Symposia are sessions fully organized by the acknowledged industry partners. Neither the MENA-SINO Conference Planning Committee nor representatives of the MENA-SINO organization are involved in the preparation. They might participate in these sessions as speakers or convenors as individuals.
Sessions Supported by Unrestricted Educational Grants
MENA-SINO industry partners can commit an unrestricted grant to an existing educational or scientific communication session. These grants are unrestricted, meaning the sponsoring partners have no influence on the topic, speakers, and content of the respective session. Only already published and finalized sessions can be selected. No reimbursement is provided to individual speakers or convenors and the scientific content of the sessions is entirely independent from industry influence. Supporting sponsors will be acknowledged in the online program and at the end of the lecture.
*Please note that above program schedule is given for information purposes only. MENA-SINO Organizers reserve the right to change partly or completely the content or format of the program due to operational or force majeure reasons.

To Train candidates on the efficacy of extracranial-intracranial (EC-IC) bypass surgery using a radial artery interposition graft (RAIG) for surgical management of cerebrovascular diseases.
Taming the waves: Hands-on!
6 October 2023, 08:30 – 10:00
Objective: This is a hands-on session aiming to acquaint a limited number of participants with practical issues of performing neurovascular ultrasound. Several stands with high-end ultrasound instruments and experienced instructors will be available to initiate you to the pulsating magic of neurosonology. An experience not to miss!
7 October 2023, 08:30 – 10:00
Basic Module: The workshop illustrates the cerebral vessel anatomy and its challenges to perform mechanical thrombectomy in silicon/flow models. The participants work in small groups on models of the Circle of Willis together with experienced national and international interventionalists from the faculty. Basics of microwire and -catheter navigation, stent-retriever and aspiration catheter placement as well as thrombectomy are performed by the participants under guidance.
7 October 2023, 11:30 – 13:00
Advanced Module: Access to the cervical vessels, the use of different thrombectomy devices (stent-retriever, aspiration catheter) are being trained. The simulators offer a more complex training environment of the interventional lab. An additional focus is the use of adjunctive techniques such the placement as balloon guide catheters in the cervical vessels and the combination of aspiration and stent retriever in proximal and more distal vessels.
8 October 2023, 08:30 – 10:00
The use of CFD in neurointervention has made significant advances in the last decade. CFD simulations continue to demonstrate immense value in interventional planning, diagnosis, and as an insilico trials technology widely used in the medical device industry. This workshop brings the MENA-SINO community and congress audience to the cutting edge of this important area of current research and future clinical practice.
